As you may be aware, we are closely monitoring the situation surrounding avian influenza (commonly known as "bird flu"). In light of recent, inconsistent reports from experts regarding the safety and risks associated with the virus, Ross-Wells has made the difficult decision to temporarily suspend the production and shipment of Titan products.

 

Our primary concern is the safety and health of your pets. We understand that many of you rely on Titan for your dogs' nutritional needs, and we empathize deeply with the impact this decision may have on you and your furry family members. We have heard from numerous customers who have seen significant improvements in their pets’ health after making the switch to Titan, and this makes our decision even more challenging.

 

Recent developments have raised questions about the reliability of test results regarding the presence of the virus in our products. Although recent tests from the University of Minnesota showed no presence of avian influenza, the latest results to Ross-Wells included a disclaimer that has prompted them to act with caution. Additionally, reports of the virus’s impact on other species and the uncertainty surrounding its transmission have only heightened their concern.

 

As a company committed to quality and safety, Ross-Wells are actively investigating alternative decontamination methods, including high-pressure pasteurization, electrification, and ozone treatment. Their goal is to ensure that when they resume production, we can do so with complete confidence in the safety and integrity of our products.

 

We recognize that this news may come as an inconvenience, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding and patience during this trying time. Rest assured that we are dedicated to keeping you informed every step of the way.

 

For those of you who have made advance payments to Wild Legacy, we will be reaching out to you shortly to facilitate the return of those funds. We want to ensure you feel secure and supported as we navigate this situation together. As for the shipment that we received on January 13th, we were informed by Ross-Wells that the test results indicated that there were no signs of avian influenza. However, we are still reaching out to Ross-Wells to confirm their position has not changed with this updated information.
